The KUAT Program

October 30, 2026

Bringing essential healthcare closer to communities in need

Through our grantmaking partnership with doctorSHARE, we support initiatives focused on stunting prevention, maternal and child health, and emergency medical response in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Indonesia.

Our collaboration with doctorSHARE supports two initiatives:

Preventing stunting and strengthening maternal and child health

The KUAT (Keep Up Against Stunting) Program focuses on stunting prevention and improving maternal and child health in Borong and Peot, East Manggarai.

The program supports community-based healthcare through Posyandu (integrated community health posts), including child growth monitoring, supplementary nutrition, and maternal health education. It also strengthens the capacity of community health cadres and health workers through Stimulasi, Deteksi, dan Intervensi Dini Tumbuh Kembang (SDIDTK)—early stimulation, detection, and intervention for child growth and development.

Activities include SDIDTK training, infant and young child feeding (IYCF) education, supplementary feeding for targeted children, prenatal classes, and support for routine child growth monitoring.

By combining preventive healthcare, nutrition support, and community-level capacity-building, KUAT aims to strengthen early identification of children’s needs and improve access to essential maternal and child health services.
